I’m just crying.

Seeing this just made my eyes watery. I can’t explain, normally I get in mood for a journal with a little music for you know let my feelings run across the keyword. But this time I was completely silent at first.

I will explain in plain language some key points:

About Idols:

Forget for Arashi reunion, for the day they changed Johnny's name, the contract died so they have to sign again. So the closest to the Arashi reunion is this kind of photo.

The incredible remarks like Kinki Kids most number 1, would be forgotten because they released all their work under “Johnny’s entertainment” label.

The days of “entering” would be from zero.

The name of several groups would change as the same of many songs related to johnny.

You can't name how you enter in the industry: Kyomoto, Matsumoto for example. Now is the time to tell lies, to invent t pretend things that idols and fans know that never happened.

Every Idol has to delete from his memory the name of Johnny. Forever.

Now, they don’t have past,

And I don’t know if they have future...

Special Unit

You already know I like to dig in the past and remember some stories. This time is Olympic, we have a year to Paris 2024. (July 25th to Aug 11th)

So thinking in that I would re- introduce Johnnys back to 2013 were the Tokyo bid elecction was made.
That year Arashi in "Arafes" announced the bid and lit up the calaudron in Tokyo Olimpic Stadium. The same year decided Japan would re-build the whole stadium. So Arashi was the last male group/band in play and the last show was actually AKB48.

At the time, Johnny announced the creation of a special unit called "johnny 2020" or in japanese トニトニ. The idea of JK was scauting a new generation of 40 Jr. And the scouting begun in Osaka and Tokyo.

Later Johnny named Tacky in his place in front of "Jr" division in 2018. So he changed the original project they would be the last groups debuted: King & Prince (5), Sixtones (6), Snowman (7), naniwa danshi (7), HiHi jets (5), Bishounen (6) and Travis Japan (7) ⇒ 40 people in 6 groups.

But with the pandemic and the Olympic suspension, the project also changed.
This time Julie with Tackey decided form Twenty★Twenty for Smile up! Proyect to collect found for pandemic relief. This time will have all the groups in the agency and only the debuted ones.

Until then people sympathized with Tackey like "taking Johnny's to another level". Only a few fans critizised the decision about the jr groups without the opportunity to show up even more fans and magazines pointed out to Julie. So how was the real role of Takizawa?

Dusty Journal! ⏸️

So many things happened!
In credible I'm still alive. Yes, last year had a gallbladder surgery🤒.
But in Fandom life, I converted to a new one: ST team! 💎
My center in Johnnys has always been Arashi, but I followed others groups too like HSJ. After the hiatus, I should confess I felt lonely.
How the 六人 had entered in my life? Well thanks to fandom. I felt curious about another fan user pic, so I found Taiga. After that, that lovely girl (TK: I'm talking about you!) shared with me all about them. I start to listen their voices.
I have to say, that I'm very picky with Idols (not only search for goodlooking guys, I want voices). At that time in 2017, they have 2 songs and thousands of covers in ザ少年倶楽部. And I find that I liked their armony.
Then, the obvious happened: Arashi hiatus. I started to ask myself What I should do? I was a 100% based on Arashi and Kinki. I resolved to keep suporting them until the last day. Also, I start to open myself to the other groups (Kohai ones), and I find that I know Johnny's more than I thought.
In the mid time Johnny's finally begun to behave like XXI century and appered freely on internet. YouTube partnership is the best thing! And of course, both have YT Channel: Arashi and Jr. (SixTones) and yeah that happened....💘

I won't addmit that I fell that easily! 😅
I felt down while the hiatus come closer, and SixTones rumours of disbandement didn't make it easier.
But at the end of 2019 everything become brighter with the ST debut! I said many times, that I wanted them to debut because I felt this was another "golden era" because there were so many talented JRs, even they were already grown ups to still as jr. (I wish LoveTune still with the Jimusho).

And how the story continues?
I still as a Johnny's fan, I follow the remaining Arashi members activities. For the Kohai groups I started to follow them, and obviously ST catched my eye.
Guess what? My nickname was so arashi related that even thought in close this journal and open another one from scratch. But it would be betray them, get angry and finally hide myself. Juri came to rescue me, he is from Chiba too...🍃 (but his color is blue😄)

I have a carrer, keep studying a master and ofcourse cheering for my Idols.

What to expect? To keep posting about corious thing and history them, and falling over KyomoJuri combi!

love it!

I love the song plus the PV. I was waiting for some beachie PV since JAL okinawa CM from 2018. The only thing I don't bear is the ossan clothes, ugh! c'mon they still young. The lyrics are good, sonnds good too and have a nice and smooth choreography. In a sense the last two digital singles looks like the intenents of US artist for coping the latin market in the 90'. Is quite paradojical that Johnny's tries to atract the overseas public now that they are facing an hiatus next year. Imagine the situation: you finds about a group in spotify sounds goood looks good but you don't have the opportunity to to see them live or get the membresy to their fan club because you live overseas... plus they gonna enter in hiatus in the following six months. quite illogical huh!.

All you need is only smile

Like J- friends project this time all groups from Johnny's makes a charity song for the covid pandemic.

Friends project was formed for the board of schools of Kobe fundraising after the earthquake of 1995. J-FRIENDS was a special unit made up of Tokio, V6, and KinKi Kids. Until their disbandment in 2003 they were able to release 6 singles (Ashita ga Kikoeru /Children's Holiday, People Of The World, Next 100 Years, I WILL GET THERE, ALWAYS (A SONG FOR LOVE), Love Me All Over ) and held some charity concerts and events. In the end they were able to donate 874.278.322 Yen. Between the greatest composers fo this unit were Michael Jackson and Jon Bon Jovi.

This time project is shorter than the previous one (1998-2003) and only includes one song. The cd will be aviable in August with two tracks smile and wash your hands. The dvd will contein the making of the song.

Is huge! I'm so proud of them.

Maybe I'm a bit melancholic these days, I started thinking about all the things and big projects they have now. Now they are about to start the hiatus.

Is a real paradox that everyone the company, sponsors, TV in general are realising how big and how good arashi is now after the announcement.

I thought they deserved this so much time before, like in 2009, but is good recompense after 20 years of work.

Is better thinking is a big way to say じゃね！

I love it, even if someone doesn ́t understand a word in japanese it can be moving as well.

音楽番組の嵐: Arashi in music programs

Hello my fellows arashians. As you already know I had a condition, I’m madly arashian. The two past things I posted here I reflect about the sales and PV of our boys (for me would be forever my boys, I’m ten years younger though.)

Here, I done a nice chart about all (I least I tried to find all) songs that Arashi performed live in music shows.

That means:

Stage report doesn’t count

Songs like “carnival night” in MS during blast in Miyagi doesn’t count

I don’t count covers

Have to be as least 1 minute.

That could be useful for 3 reason

If you like as me find data about them

If you looove a song and want to have all performances.

…..The third one is the reason for my next post…

If some data is missing I highly appreciate commentaries and all type of feedback.

A brief information about some music shows.

🌷(MS) Music Station holds the top on arashi performances. The program started in 1986 and still ongoing on tv asahi.

🌷(SC) Shounen club is the Jr program on nhk.

🌷(JDC) Johnny’s countdown. Begun on 1997 between J-friends as part of the fundraising for Kobe board of education.

🌷(FNS) Fuji music festival begun in 1974 as a contest. The last grand prix was given in 1990. Has the traditional edition in the end of the year and other more in spring and summer.

🌷The music day: Begun in 2013 as part of “best artist” production in mid summer for the Tohoku earthquake relief. (the performances of Arashi began in 2013 and the songs before that year were part of medley. I can’t count the special performances when they cover their own songs on ans)

🌷Best artist: Began in 2001 as a selection from the audience. Then in 2009, the program was revamp and the medley were composed directly by artists. Sho serves as MC since 2009.

ABOUT HIATUS

I found about this just on lunch, but I was on my Aunt home so I can't say nothing about this before.

I'm not shocked because they have already prepared the fans in different ways first of all in Arashi NHK documentary. I'm a bit sad because of course I'm a fan. They are people who have emotions and life sometimes expectations have their own weight on us.

I was less cautious in my beginning as fan, so when I saw Ochan crying in Hawaii I thought maybe he needs a bit of rest and maybe the end of Arashi is near. And many other fans in very bad manners told me this will be impossible and I was telling lies. But when Ohno ended his radio show of 12 years, I was more cautious this time and only pointed it.

For Ohno fans I think is devastating. He have my favourite voice in Arashi and one of my favourites in JE. His dance is wonderful and is crown as the kings of dance of the whole JE.

I think they have to do the things they want, is their lives after all.

I don't know why the management thought this would be a better occasion since the applications didn't finished. For me is too early is we are talking on the beginning of the hiatus. In the other hand after heard the time he wanted to quit and all the time they have to hide this decision made me think maybe they have to announce it early and let Ohno begin with his rest time soon. And sometimes I think maybe the agency makes some marketing about this.

I don't want to mix translations with my hopes. just saying some points...

🐟They would be on hiatus on 31 december 2020 just 703 days or a year and 11 months.

🐟 From that dates onwards they won't have groups activities. i.e. ANS, VSA, music station, kohaku or other single or album as Arashi.

🐟 Ohno would live his life as a general person from the 31-12-20. So, he won't do any entertainment activity. I.e. guest appearance in any show.

🐟 Aiba said he would try his best in his solo activities, maybe the others members try to pursue solo activities too. (is highly unlikely they would do any appearance of other member show like jun was guest in yakai.)

🐟 Jun also said he want to rest a little bit and challenge himself with things he never try. He maybe have some projects to do but seems he would slow down. The other two didn't make any reference to the time in hiatus.

🐟 The end of hiatus isn't decided yet.

🐟 The decision to quit start growing around Blast in Hawaii

🐟 Ohno wanted to quit in june 2017. In february 2018 the group communicated the agency he would quit and Arashi future as group. The agency have many meetings and offered Ohno an hiatus. They agreed on the hiatus and made the proper arrangements with the agency in june 2018.

🐟 Although is a discrepancy between Nino or Aiba way to tell the story I would credit Ohno. He start talking one on one with Arashi members in june 2017 and heard their thoughts for his decisions. Then, gathered all in the hotel room in Osaka (for the wakuwaku) and told them the conclusions of all the individuals meetings on 16th June just minutes before Nino’s birthday.

🐟 They NEVER say they won’t disband after the hiatus. They said they have to have time to think.

🐟 Ohno NEVER say he will back for sure. He will find his true self and then start thinking in the future as idol and Arashi member.

🐟 They begin with the hiatus because they don’t want to perform as 4 person arashi.

Of course I will continue to support them as I supported many other bands inclusive the other disbanded as SMAP. I want Ohno to think the best for him. I want to him to take care of his life, his family, his body and even his soul.
Later I will continue to comment on this situation of all the things that I am remembering but before. First of all I will post all the things that I had in the drafts even if they are incomplete ... surely I will complete them later.

嵐のシングルとアルバム総売上: Arashi singles and album total sales

Warning: This post will talk about grown up topics. I will talk about business and Arashi as business. If you want to believe and live in Arashi' fairytale world go ahead, but don’t try to say to me this is because I’m an Anti. I will talk some facts and some numbers and economics, all those information is under the cut.

I have seen some inquiries of fans in TW and and here about the sales of Arashi. They wanted to know If Arashi have a drop in their popularity or a significant change in the sales.

First of all, Japan have the 2nd biggest discographic industry in the world. Aside of that, Idols are 30% of the discography and Johnny's is only the half.

I began to learn about this industry by Arashi. I will try to explain the little things I know about the business.

New Video! I mean new "free" video

Johnnys has published their own site a serie of "2018 spring dorama season" advertising with "now available". Their talents done an special video for Johnnys web promoting their doramas.

Is kind spooky. I wondering, what are the real intention of the Agency? they must plotting something, I don't say something evil but must be something else. First lifting the ban on johnnys press photos, youtube channel for Jr, then Avex lunch an special youtube wich includes V6 (and the Line live last month). Is some restriction arround the corner or more freedom? ....

I was expecting the modernization of the Jimusho but this is suprinsigly fast and suddenly.

As Arashi fan, is new can see your idols "free" online. As an arashian is like a special present, watch Nino free again.
Happily for us, we live for see this moment. Thanks who make this possible.

(isn't big deal, is 2'' video with Nino talking about the start of his dorama the character and praising the director and the script writer. I´m quite happy for a 2'' video)

堂本剛新しい髪型 // Tsuyoshi Domoto's new hairstyle

This week in japan were taking place the ancient tradition of hanami....

Like 剛桜 in Minato Mirai, mark a change in the seasons I think Tsuyo do the same.

On Jan he told on his radio show he'll cut his hair when it's touching his nipples. Well, I don´t thinks this already happen, but a month later he told the big news he have done a short haircut.

I was so anxious about the new style. This week eploded online the new haircut of DoTo in the new mag. Some peple recognized in the street when he do a location fo BBB, and taked various pics and shared in various places (honestly, I would do the same). As I read, the episode climb in to news every, and the Jimusho do an statement telling the style was official and in effect the man in the photo was Tsuyoshi.

Personally I prefer short hairstyle for my idols *yes, said my*. Long hairstyles makes them look older. So, I don´t miss his 2017 style. I prefer his curls.

The only "long" hair I liked was Mimura Takuya one.

VS嵐: OP talk. 新しいソファー

As I saw in many blogs arround here there are accurate translations of VSA and another Arashi shows, but I can´t find a translation for the op of the last VSA, and I know the huge scandal that creates among japanese fans. I don't have any kind of help form any transcript, just left the old way: hearing with caution...
So I tried to do it by my self....

La primera cancíon para la cobertura de los JJOO en NTV fue la del 2004, para 24hs ellos invitaron a varios deportistas. En 2006 Sakurai comienza oficialmente como news caster en Zero, pero no hacen cancion olimpica. En 2008, Beijin, envian a Sakurai como newscaster, en el mismo año llegan por primera vez al Kokoritsu. En 2010 envian a Sakurai a canada para la covertura de NTV. En 2012 ademas de la cobertura olimpica en londres, invitan a los bangumi a muchos deportistas.
En 2013 la ciudad de Buenos Aires, el COI eligió a Tokyo como la sede de los juegos olimpicos del 2020. Y ellos encendieron el calaudrón olimpico durante el Arafes, para festejar el anuncio.
In 2013, In Buenos Aires, Tokyo was elected as city host for the Olympics. In Arafes light the Olympic Calaudron for celebrate the annuncement for Tokio 2020.
Ohno designed an special cover plane for JAL domestics flights, in the campaing "Fly to 2020" before Rio 2016.
In 2016 Arashi did an special program called Arashi Stadium for NHK.

Después Ohno diseño la nueva pintura para el exterior del avión con motivo de Rio 2016 "Fly to 2020".
Luego de los juegos de Rio, estuvieron a cargo del MC de un programa especial de NHK en el dia de los juegos olimpicos que fue llamado Arashi Stadium (嵐スタジアム).

Aparte de esta recopilacion, me queda como un pensamiento rondadando... Para Tokyo 2020 falta tiempo, pero en 2018 estan los JJOO de invierno en Korea y en 2019 son los 20 años del debut de Arashi. Son muchos eventos importantes para Arashi, especialmente para lograr cosas tendientes a ser la imagen del pop japonés.
¿Llegaran a estar en Tokyo 2020? Es muy extraño, pero quizas la proxima actualizacion sea la canción de Arashi que suene en el medio de Tokio 2020.
Aside from this compilation, I still have a I have a recurring thought ... For Tokyo 2020 is not so far, but in 2018 there are the winter Olympics in Korea and in 2019 they are the 20 years of Arashi's debut. There are many important events for Arashi, especially to accomplish things tending to be the image of Japanese pop. The next song for Olympics games is 2020, and could be the song they sing right in the venue.

Ahh. waited for so long for these time when arashi invites so important johnnys to their shows.

First of all, Tacky already went to VSA last year for first time. He went first to adverstise his own butai and now for advertise his new dorama.//
Tackey ya habia aparecido en VSA el año pasdo. Antes para promocionar su propia obra de teatro y ahora para promocionar su dorama.

Second thing.... VSA producers are playing with us (the fans) is almost the same outfit for the two shows. When I see the pictures of TVGuide in TW and in Sina I said "meh, these fans repeat the old shows in their TL". I apologise for these misunderstanding, fans were right.

I love when ohter Johnnys come to Arashi shows, too much fun.

The better of these show deffinitly is Johnnys intro quiz and the Tacky's pick of johnnys.//
Segundo, en las redes sociales habia visto algunas fotos sobre el adelanto del show, y pensé que las fans repetian el programa del año pasado. Pero la produccion juega con nosotros (los fans) porque los vistieron usando los mismos colores que en 2017.

Clearly, Arashi: can you try with new songs? It´s almost unbelivable arashi doesn´t recognize "Flower" or "Ai nanda". I'll forgive they doesn´t know the songs for the new goups like Sexy Zone or newer songs of older groups like "Tegami" from Tokio. Just unbelivable.//
¿Por que Arashi no prueba con adivinar nuevas canciones?. Es casi imposible que no puedan reconocer Flower o Ai nanda. Esta bien si no pueden reconocer las canciones de Sexy Zone o Tegami de Tokio. Es increible.

Jun Utahiroba is truly a fan, I was thinking he was a "Jun-only" fan but is more complete.

Well we skip until kicking sniper, Arashi ask the guest to pick from members of all jimusho and form a new group. Obviously , they made Tacky form a new group too. I totally agree with him, he pick the most awesome dancing and singing idols of all the jimusho. I think they have to done the special unit for JDC maybe?.//

Jun Utahiroba es un fan completo, es el que mas adivino en el intro quiz. Y yo que pensaba que era "Jun-Only".
El otro punto sobresaliente es Kicking Sniper, Arashi le pide a los invitados que formen un nuevo grupo eligiendo miembros de toda la Jimusho. Le pidieron a Tackey y elige a los mejores que pueden bailar y cantar bien. Estaria bueno que hagan esta unidad especial para el JCD.
